American Academy of Retired Persons Foundation
The American Association of Retired Persons Foundation (AARP) is a national organization that provides direct services to senior citizens, particularly in the areas of consumer advocacy, legal assistance, tax counseling, job training and placement, health care, and long term care information. There are over 35 million members in AARP. The AARP Foundation was originally called the Retirement Research and Welfare Association when it was established in 1961.
