A kinesthesiometer is an instrument that is used to determine the degree of sensation (feeling) in a muscle. Kinesthesiometer comes from the Greek word "kinesis" meaning "motion," the Greek word "aisthesis" meaning "sensation," and the Greek word "metron" meaning "measure." Put the three words together and you have "measure motion sensation."
